You are the most amazing people -- I think of all our service members several times a day, and hope the New Year brings us more peace, not more conflict. My father was U.S. Navy and now rests in Arlington -- he served twice (WW II and Korea), and lived to be in his 90s. I wish you all great joy and blessings!

It's not the Constitution that gives us our rights. It's not our elected officials who protect us and our freedom. We owe our lives and liberty to the generations of brave men and women who have proudly worn the uniforms of the United States Armed Forces. Thank you for serving your country, for going where we dare not go and doing what we could not do ourselves. Most of all, thank you for putting your lives on the line to protect ours. Your service and sacrifice is our freedom and security.

Thank you for your service, dedication, and sacrifice! A Nation's Strength by Walt Whitman Not gold, but only man can make A people great and strong; Men who, for truth and honor's sake, Stand fast and suffer long. Brave men who work while others sleep, Who dare while others fly -- They build a nation's pillars deep And lift them to the sky.
